What visitors say

Wonderful church here in the heart of Redlands, California. The energy is so abundant and welcoming. Highly recommend everyone to check this place out. A amazing church filled with the Holy Spirit! Felt like family as soon as I walked in. The pastor preaches solely on God’s Word and never adds or subtracts from it. You can feel the power and FIRE of God here! I was attending a JogDawgs running event next to this church when I needed to use the restroom. I politely asked a greeter if I could use the facilities and was told they were only for people attending the service. While I understand policies may exist, this felt unnecessarily unwelcoming given the church’s location beside a public community event. Churches are often seen as places of hospitality, and I hope there is more awareness of how interactions like this impact visitors and the surrounding community. An amazing church where the Holy Ghost is present everything I attend their services. Very encouraging environment and the people are so kind. Misleading and Disappointing Experience We attended this church’s “back-to-school” event expecting, as the flyer suggested, a school supply and backpack giveaway. Instead, it turned into something very different — and honestly, very misleading. We arrived about an hour early, stood in line in the blistering Redlands heat for over an hour, and were asked for our names, phone numbers, and how many kids we had before being led into their assembly room. Inside was unbearably hot — my husband almost passed out — and there was no water or refreshments for the families who had already been waiting for hours. Instead of quickly distributing backpacks, the event turned into a nearly hour-long sermon. The pastor repeatedly said he was “just about to pray” but instead kept speaking about parents being on drugs, which was disheartening and felt like an unfair assumption about the community. At one point, people were asked to come forward to “surrender to Jesus.” A woman even approached my children asking if she could “take them” to pray, despite us politely declining multiple times. Families with young kids, including one mom who had been waiting since 6 AM with five kids, were left hungry, thirsty, and frustrated. The flyer never mentioned that we would be required to sit through a lengthy service before receiving any supplies. If the event was intended to be a ministry service first and foremost, it should have been clearly stated. We would have made an informed choice and avoided putting our children through that uncomfortable and disappointing experience. We will not be returning. We came for a backpack giveaway — instead, we got over an hour in the scorching sun, then forced into a hot room for a long sermon. No water, no snacks, and kids were hungry and uncomfortable. The flyer never said we’d have to sit through a ministry service. When we asked for water, we were told to go back inside. When we asked for backpacks, they seemed reluctant and told us to go back in to “finish the ministry” first. Only after pushing did someone finally give us a backpack so we could leave. If this was meant to be a church service, it should have been stated upfront. This felt manipulative, and we won’t be back.
