My daughter just performed in her first play here. They have a great theater program for kids. My family and I don't attend Church since we're not religious so i can't tell you what mass is like but the people who work for the church are very friendly and seem to be great people. I highly recommend signing your kids up here if they enjoy theater. My daughter is just 3 and she loved every moment. 🗣️For anyone reading, please don’t let an experience like this discourage your personal relationship with God. ✝️ I was looking forward to attending a women’s retreat and connecting with a new community during a challenging time in my life. Unfortunately, my experience trying to sign up was disappointing and left me feeling discouraged. 😔 I was told (by Nicole) I needed to attend a Sunday service before receiving the retreat signup link, which felt more like a barrier than an invitation. 🥹While I understand churches have processes, the way the conversation was handled left me feeling overwhelmed, uncomfortable, and unwelcome especially after I had openly shared that I was going through a lot. I shared with Nicole how I was feeling in the moment, but didn’t receive any follow up or encouragement afterward.😭 I personally host women’s events, and I would NEVER interact with someone this way, especially when they are coming in vulnerable and seeking community. 🤍 My hope is that churches remember how important it is to lead with warmth and compassion, especially when someone is reaching out in need. I’m grateful my faith is strong, but I can imagine how an experience like this could impact someone who is new or searching. 🙏🏽 I’ve prayed about sharing this and ultimately chose to speak up, not to tear anyone down, but to advocate for myself and for others who may be seeking support and community. Wonderful worship. Great message. Amazing people. I was very welcomed and embraced. Fellowship for all ages and stages of life! If you're looking for a church near Westchester, playa del Rey, or beach city area, I highly recommend you visit OCF! Holy Spirit is present here! Visiting our Daughter and Son in Law we got to go to their awesome church. People were friendly, awesome music, and relevant Bible based message. If you want to hear God's word in the crazy world we live in, this church will be a great choice We go here when we're in town to visit family. The people are welcoming and the message is Bible-based. They have "plurality of leadership," so there's a different preacher each Sunday, and they've all been good. The music is current (think KLOVE) but not too loud or showy. They're not giving a concert; they're worshipful.
