Convoy of hope yesterday! What a true blessing to see soo many services in one place! Backpacks and shoes for children. School supplies, eye care, dental care, women's health, community services, food for families in need, lunch for everyone from Chick-fil-A! Too much to name! Truly blessed to have been there. I started at Bethel Church way back in the 70s. I loved Paster Crabtree. I was baptized in that church. I really miss the old church with the most beautiful choir. The singing xmas tree brought in so many people. I have so many memories at that church I will carry with me the rest of my life. I’ve been at Bethel Church for over 12 years, and it’s where I became a Christian and have grown deeply in my faith. The worship is powerful and full of God’s presence, and the teaching is rich with truth and grounded in Scripture. The pastors and elders have truly become family—they care deeply and are always willing to meet or answer questions to help me grow. This church has been a constant source of encouragement, support, and spiritual growth. I’m so blessed to live in community with people who love Jesus and live out their faith. Bethel Church is home. Bethel Church offers powerful worship and teaching that’s grounded in Scripture. The leaders are welcoming and care for newcomers and longtime congregants. The church is also active in serving the local area and meeting needs. It’s a great place to grow in faith and be part of something meaningful. Super disappointed in my family’s experience with Bethel on Good Friday. Let me first explain that I just recently gave birth to our second daughter, today was supposed to be our first time back at church, which we were very excited about. With much preparation and effort we made it out the door to church. We chose to attend Bethel today because our church does not accommodate my husbands work schedule. When I found out that we would still get a chance to experience a Good Friday service I was thrilled. However, our experience was absolutely disappointing and sad for a church to hinder members from hearing the gospel. We arrived and my toddler was dancing in the foyer to the worship music, we went in to the sanctuary with our bassinet stroller expecting to have to sit in the back row, no big deal but was told (with a finger pointing at us) we could not bring our stroller. My baby is a newborn, she cannot go with out a bassinet. We were told we can leave her in nursery…. My Newborn will not be left with strangers. So we were told we could not be accommodated. We left. I know this church has a huge congregation, so one family’s experience might not mean anything, but I fear to think how many others have been discouraged to attend and hear the gospel because of a silly thing like no accommodation for families in our sanctuary. “Let the children come to me” and God leaving the “99” caring for the “one” come to mind. I just wanted to share my disappointment in our experience at this church. No one should experience such a situation.
