Have you been looking for a church that ACTUALLY preaches about Jesus and isn't about politics or weird doctrines? Well Im pleased to tell you that Calvary is that church! The pastor and elders are incredible and on fire for the Good News and Jesus. There's plenty of programs for the kids including special needs. Tons of Bible Study opportunities and stuff for teenagers. But truly the strength of this church is in it's big time love for Jesus. Every sermon leads to Jesus and I love how the church isn't law based/pharisee glazing. I highly recommend coming here. 10/10 Was here for a their annual car show last weekend. This is a straight up bias All American car show. Only 1 import won, which was a BMW, and it was even under "People's Choice". So obviously all the judges cared about and have been caring about are American cars. WHY even accept Import cars during registration when not even 1 or 2 imports win in Top 10, or other categories. There were import cars there that you never see around at all, rare import cars, a lot of people were amazed as I observed there reactions to these imports. Not cool at all Calvary Love My Ride car show staff. Christmas Service. I brought 2 unattending folks, 4 attending another church folks and my bride and me. We all thought the giving section was repetitive... Brian repeated himself 3 or 4 times. All of us felt the video after was guilting manipulation. Of course Paul wasn:t afraid to guilt the Corinthians to give, but really, at the Christmas service when you probably have more visitors the members? I bet Bill Hybels, who was an influence at one thime, might have a comment. Pastor Brian was a real downer. His focus on sin and human suffering was not appropriate for families that travelled from all over the US to spend a joyous Christmas celebrating Christ' birth with their families. Further, after fighting a horrible reaction to the COVID vaccine for 3 years that resulted in me nearly dying a couple of times, Brian's message cound not have been a bigger miss. Does he have a clue? Sean, as usual was Great and my grandson loved the presentation. He is 4 and this was his second time in church. I get Jesus was born as a sacrifice for me. But I wonder if Jesus would be happy about focusing on the sacrifice over the the joy that came (1) after 700 years of God not speaking to His people, (2) the beginning of the new covenant of love for God and each other and (3) the joy that gentiles were adopted into God's family. Scripture says there is a season for everything and there is also a good word for every season. Christmas is a season of joy. Our words should reflect that. Brian's word was for the easter season. Isn't it interesting though, that our liturgical seasons are opposite of the lunar seasons? Beautiful place to stay and listen for God's message. The music always gets to me and my wife. It's always been a great experience for us and my two kid's. My 10 year old son loves going to his age class friends and my daughter 22 years the enjoyment of hanging out with me and my wife while listening to the message... its her childhood church.. God bless this beautiful establishment being a church! I normally don’t post reviews, but as a parent I feel strongly that other families deserve to know how this church leadership handles serious situations with kids. My son attended their youth camp this summer and was falsely accused of something very serious. Instead of investigating carefully, the pastors immediately labeled him with a damaging accusation, had the police question him without either parent present, and then sent him home. Later, the story shifted several times — from a very harsh accusation to “disruptive behavior” — with no consistency or clarity or response to my concerns. Even more troubling, my son was never counseled, warned, or guided by a leader at camp before being casting him out of camp, he has zero knowledge he had done anything wrong. We all expect teenagers to need correction, and as parents, we welcome godly discipline. But what we did not see was Christlike leadership. Rather than using the opportunity to teach, shepherd, and help him grow, the church chose humiliation, much avoidance, and silence. Promised follow-up calls and apologies never came, and messages went unanswered. When I did finally receive a response from Pastor Brian, who ignored my calls by the way, said 'we have a different perspective' and went without addressing not one concern that I addressed, not one. Truly, I expected more from the head of the head. My son has taken accountability for the things he did do, but the pastors have not taken responsibility for their overreaction and lack of care for the hurt and damage they have caused. The result was deep embarrassment and harm to a 13-year-old boy’s reputation — all over an accusation later found to be untrue. If you are considering sending your child here, please be aware: this is not the grace-filled, truth-led leadership that Scripture calls pastors to model. Families deserve better.
