Just amazing 10/10 the Father is very good at explaining. Overall always an amazing mass. Glory to God! Virgin Mary pray for us sinners As a wedding photo booth vendor in San Fernando Valley (Annnd...Action! Photo Booth), we had the pleasure to provide services to a bride and groom who got married in the church, then held their reception in the Msgr. Michael J. O'Connor Activities Hall. The hall is a large auditorium with a stage, canteen and large lobby. Triple sets of doors allow for excellent traffic flow and a way to create ambience with all doors open, or just the middle, or sides. There are doors to the outside of the auditorium space making it very functional for all types of activities and vendors. Also, multiple ramps for ADA (or load-in) access. Lots of parking for your guests. Security on site is friendly and watchful. The space was clean and had natural light. Tons of potential! Last, Julian at the church was lovely to deal with and answered all of our pre-event questions. We look forward to an opportunity to attend another event at St. Mel's and see how other brides and grooms will use the space. Where everyone is welcome. The people here are lovely and very welcoming. They have friendship Sunday Every week after the 9:00 and 11:00am service with donuts and coffee to help people network and meet others. This parish is clean, well maintained with several active ministries including a Knights of Columbus Council (pictured). Those I encountered here were friendly. I would definitely attend Mass here again if in the area. Best Church in the valley. Everything about this place is beautiful; the church, the choir, the liturgy. This place feels like home and you can tell the presence of God is here. Father Steve’s homilies are always touching and thoughtful. I look forward to coming here every Sunday! Do be advised that depending on what time you go you will get a different experience when it comes to music. Saturday nights and Sunday at 8 and 9:30am don’t have a choir and will have more modern music. The 11am mass has the traditional hymns and a choir. If you’re like me and prefer the traditional music you will want to go at 11am. Either way though you will be blessed by coming here! They also have a daily afternoon mass at 5:30pm which most parishes do not have.
