We have attended a few worship events here and love the church. The church is changing generations and growing! Multiple services and a strong emphasis on missions and serving. I attended the Easter service. I truly believe the Pastor loves the Lord - hands down. I was very disappointed however with the praise and worship. There is no inclusivity with singing but rather a group of people performing songs that no one knows. We only had a smidge of moment to sing (part) of how great thou art. Then they went back to performing. Also, the lady in front of me was so distracting with all her hand motions I wasn’t sure if she was worshiping or directing air traffic. In addition she talked nonstop during the sermon. There’s a time and a place to speak up, and when the pastor is giving his sermon it would be nice for the congregation to be quiet and listen instead of bringing attention to themselves. For over 15 years, First Assembly of God Fort Myers has been more than a church to me—it's been a spiritual home. The pastor is truly a gifted and caring shepherd, whose messages have guided our family for years. We especially love that it's a place for everyone: from incredible, engaging services for adults to a kids' ministry that makes our children excited to come. It’s a welcoming, loving community where faith grows. My wife and I saw Chris Tomlin and his band lead worship here. We have seen other Christian musicians lead worship at the First Assembly of God church in Ft. Myers. The church is well suited for a large group of worshippers and the acoustics in the house are excellent. Also, there is plenty of parking on church property.
