What visitors say
Sad that I must start by saying this, but Grace Point hasn't had a member named John Lee since 1998, so I think the negative review is most likely a confused individual for whom I pray for and wish the best. I pray that God will heal his resentment and bitterness. That being said, I have been attending Grace Point since its founding. I have traveled to Paraguay, China, Haiti, and countless inner cities for missions trips and charity work, all at the cost of the church members themselves. If that makes you lose love then you might be looking in the wrong areas. Every visitor that comes in is welcomed personally and engaged and prayed for. I have been through so many ups and downs in my life, all of which Grace Point has been there to support me. I was married at this church, I was jobless at this church, I was hopeless at this church, and yet I found the encouragement and strength to move on because of this church. They are truly like family. What sets Grace Point up differently than any church I've been to (and I have literally been across the globe), is their authenticity and commitment to the Lord's commission. They make it a point to stick to scripture. Their mission is to lead people into a growing love relationship with Jesus Christ, and create environments where the feel accepted as they are, and loved for who they are in their innate being. They follow it to the detail. They meet weekly to this end. They share their resources and earnings to help each other. I have not known a true church of Acts as of yet except for this church. I’m not the kind to write reviews much but for some reason I felt the urge to look at the reviews of this church the other day and I was shocked and sad to read John’s review. I’m not sure what happened back then and I didn’t really know him that well if I’m thinking of the right person, but that has not been my experience at all with GPCC and I’m sorry he had such a negative experience back then. I agree with Josh, my husband, that John’s review is not fair and truly reflective of GPCC, especially now. I attended GPCC on and off while I was in college out of state and would visit during the holidays and then started attending more regularly after I graduated in 2017. Even back then I felt a sense of comfort and a collective hunger for the word that drew me to want to attend this church whenever I could on my breaks. Counting those college days, GPCC has been my home church for the past 13 years and the reason why I wanted to become a part of this community in the first place was because of the great love and grace that they showed me even to the young and very immature me back then. Though I am still a work in progress, I thank GPCC for helping me grow and for being a big part of my spiritual journey. Despite my many shortcomings, Grace Point encouraged me and challenged me to be the kind of person and Christian I want to be. I have seen God moving in GPCC and it is evident that He is at work and I have personally been touched by the love of Christ that the members have reflected on to me and my family. They were always there and willing to help and serve when it came to big life events (moving, marriage, pregnancy, baby shower, etc.). They have showered much love and joy over me and my son even before he was born. I have truly been blessed by this community and encouraged to see how God has been providing for and loving on this church. I loved serving in ministry with them, dabbling in many sports together, communing and fellowshipping in each other’s homes, and worshipping together. To me they are like family. They are my dear brothers and sisters. I pray and hope that anyone who walks through Grace Point Community Church’s doors will be blessed and come to experience the same or even greater love that I experienced throughout my time here. God is in the midst of her. Atlanta New Life Baptist Church
