Peter O'Neill, the senior pastor, teaches God's Truth. With very engaging supplemental projector slides. Visit this church if you want nothing but God's Truth taught. Also a very welcoming community. I love how the sun shines through the church's big windows too. This is a beautiful quiet place with an welcoming congregation! I enjoyed the worship and the Word very much! I have just moved in 2 months back and I feel at home here. They welcomed me to their choir too knowing that Iam interested in singing! This is an amazing church group where they support one another through prayers and physical support too! Jesus and the Bible, front and center. Teaching is very thoughtful, just academically south of a reformed church. It's really geared to a college educated believer who's seriously thoughtful, so don't expect sermonets. The unfortunate consequence is that the congregation is pretty demographically monolithic, albeit welcoming with the best of intentions. Few kids, and they, surprisingly, aren't the focus considering that a good arm could break windows in two huge schools thrown from the church parking lot. Few racial minorities, as the church culture there is very stereotypical of the majority makeup. Lots of late mid-life, well-educated white folks; but it is highly attractive in that niche and in the distinct minority of growing/vibrant churches, in spite of its one-dimensionality. Heavy on teaching and discipleship. As you might imagine, there's a conspicuous lack of lasers and smoke machines during worship, and the rare instances of clapping are comically arythmic. Peter O'Neill is a great guy, a genuine believer who's bet the farm on Jesus, and a great teacher to boot. Although he is the church leader, it is definitely not a one man show, as the church leadership appears to hold the lion's share of operational ballast, for better or worse. (Think US president as opposed to Venezuelan) Hard to sum up the church, really, except for fact that it's incredibly attractive in all the areas that appeal to me, personally; and that's precisely my biggest criticism against it. Definitely worth a visit. I like the minister however the congregation I found to be much older. I would say it's not necessarily the church if you have small kids. But the ministry's is younger and has two young children. He started his post-graduate career as a chemist and I have found that most ministers is that have other career paths before going into Ministry understand their congregations better then ministers who go directly to Seminary School. Generally speaking I found him to be pretty wise. Wonderful church! My son is the Pastor , with a heart that loves Jesus! I love his sermons because they are lessons about God's Holy Word!
