What visitors say
We were visiting Savannah. Walking around we found First Baptist Church. We weren't intending to attend a service but the gentleman at the door invited us in. Impressed by the pastor's message of forgiveness. We always feel welcomed when we go here during our occasional visits to Savannah. It's a formal service, 11:00 AM. Program and flow of service is easy to follow with the bulletin. Beautiful piano and organ music. Incredible tour. Can’t say enough good things about our time here. History and soul all at the same time. A must see/do in Savannah. Thank you for sharing your beautiful church and history with us! This is a wonderful Sunday service. We were welcomed by so many and the love is very real. The music director uses the pipe organ every service and that alone makes it wonderful. They love Jesus and He is exalted!! Built in 1801, it is a church that must experienced, from the people to the worship. Can't wait to return!! Very warm and friendly. The building is beautiful. The church is generous in giving space for community events.
