What visitors say
This a welcoming church that invites all to participate. Every age is involved in the life of Avon Christian. The church is at ground level and is completely handicapped accessible. This warm, friendly group of believers is a welcoming place to learn and grow spiritually. Down to earth, unpretentious and genuine people come together to welcome ALL people --people of diverse ability, ages, ethnicities, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, nationality, political affiliation, race, sexual orientation, or any other distinction. I've been attending church all of my life, and I can't remember a congregation that made me feel so welcome, so quickly. As much as anything, I value their love for each other and their willingness to embrace the fact that we all hold different beliefs and theologies that inform our faith. This church "walks the talk!" They are working with Habitat for Humanity to provide affordable housing in Avon. They are warm, and truly welcome all including LGBTQIA! This church is just like a family. The church really works hard to serve the community as well. Very friendly atmosphere. Great church filled with friendly worshippers. Senior minister is a terrific preacher. Very powerful, thoughtful, bible based messages.
