I’ve not attended any of their services. However I saw a post from one of my fishers facebook groups that this church was giving away free pumpkins and I went and it was pumpkins galore. I loved it ! The associate pastors wife was so nice and LITERALLY let people how ever many pumpkins they wanted. Congratulations on meeting your mission goal !!! This church offers a public pantry for this living in Hamilton County that have encountered life situations that make it difficult to buy groceries and provide healthy nourishment for themselves and their family. They are very hemoglobin and encouraging and provide the spiritual support if requested. They provide a variety of staples as well as other products that vary by availability. They are sure to meet your needs of you find yourself in this unfortunate situation and need uttermost help. I recommend that you check them out as your need arises or donate items for them to use for distribution to others. Prayer is a wonderful part of the service and sermons are thought provoking. Homeless outreach and food pantry help the community. People are welcoming. Satan will always point out the negative about every church to keep you away, so be wise to this. We really enjoy attending Fishers United Methodist Church. We have met wonderful people and have enjoyed attending Truck or Treat, Vacation Bible School, the church wide Thanksgiving dinner and Upward Basketball. It seems the church is always busy and there is something for everyone: bible studies, book clubs, plays, bell choir, youth group, confirmation classes - the list goes on. It makes us proud that the church sponsors the Come to Me Food Pantry - so many families in Hamilton County are able to feed their families thanks to this pantry. We also like that the church is always striving to better itself - to find out what it's congregation enjoys and doesn't enjoy - it's never stagnant. All in all, we consider this our church, perhaps it's not for everyone, but it is for us. Ugh. Visited twice. First time, kids had fun at Sunday school back in Spring 2012. Went back recently (Fall 2012). Seems like a very different place. Kids still had fun in SS but everything seems to have changed. Different people running Sunday school, not so warm and fuzzy. In Spring, and after reading vision statement on their website, I had the impression that this church was money hungry but after recent sermon, it was confirmed for me. The pastor gave a sermon where he tried to shame people into giving more money. Pastor seems like he wants to build a huge church to compete with the big churches in the area. Newsflash! Not every body wants a big church! Nothing seems very real, bunch of plastic Christians led by a poser. Going to find a smaller church where people are friendly and real, warts and all. If you are the kind of person who goes to church to be seen, and you don't mind sermons begging you to empty your pockets so the pastor can be glorified by building a big church, then go here. Otherwise, move on.
