I originally just gave a one star review but didn't want to do so without an explanation. My wife and I are looking for a church in the area and after listening to several sermons online the last few weeks,the Chasing the Wind series which I enjoyed, we decided to attend Sunday, July 13th. After the music and playing a fun audience participation game, they proceeded to bring out a guest speaker. I was hoping for more of the aforementioned series or at the least a new series with Biblical excegetical teaching but instead had to listen to this guest speaker go on a political diatribe which I don't want to hear in church whichever side it's coming from. We sat through five to ten minutes of his rant, hoping it would go a different direction. Seeing it wasn't and at the risk of embarrassing my wife I did something I've never done before and hope to never do again,we walked out. As we approached the doors a young couple with a couple of children who were regular attendees was also exiting and spoke up to inquire as to why we were leaving . Was it due to the speaker's subject matter? It troubled them also. We said yes and proceeded out to the parking lot where another young lady I believe of Latino heritage was also bothered and leaving saying the church had pushed some of this junk, (my words), before but not recently and she was aggravated. We talked a few minutes and wished each other well as all of us are looking for a new church. It's truly sad, please stick to the gospel and teach people the word of God! The coffee was on and ready. The people were amazing. And the Word of God was preached. What an excellent church and a body focused on reaching people for Christ. Our oldest (5 years old) has autism and felt really comfortable at kids church. Highly recommend. Grace Fishers has become family. The church leadership is absolutely solid in their vision and efforts. Not sure how you could have stronger sense of belonging anywhere else. Wherever you are in your faith journey, Grace Fishers is encouraging, helpful and will be there along side you in times of triumph and defeat. I've been going to Grace since 2012 and I love it. The sermon topics are meaningful and applicable to real life for a wide breadth of life stages. The worship is such high quality. Their children's programming is amazing - my son came home from a semester of weekly care there spouting off the fruits of the spirit when he was only 2! I also love their Kids Camp in the summer and I'm so grateful for all the love and attention my whole family receives every single week from them. Medium sized church with small church feel. Music is usually pretty great. Weekly message excellent.
