Very rude volunteers who will interrupt you and your social worker Terri Jo is a liar. She offered to come bring food after work and shop at the pantry, knowing I didn't have transportation at the time and promised a $100 check to help offset rent costs to be sent out the following Tuesday. She never showed up. I called for 3 WEEKS and couldn't get an answer. Begged the volunteers to get a message to her and was told she'll get it when she gets it. Saying they're just too overwhelmed. They told me they didn't have a check on file. Leaving me very confused and was promised the minister would make it right by a volunteer. Then DAYS later after calling and calling and calling Terri Jo is on the phone and I politely asked if it slipped her mind and she told me the conversation never happened and said she wasn't even allowed to leave the property. She gaslit me and treated me like I was crazy. Then had the nerve to ask if I talked to another church. In fact, I didn't. You all not only caused issues with food insecurity while my job wasn't paying me, it also caused my rent to lapse after being falsely promised help. I have a court date coming over this. You all should be ashamed of yourselves! As a homeless transgender addict in recovery, I was welcomed into a small group that included many extremely successful and influential individuals, and was asked my opinion regarding local issues and concerns in the community. I was treated with respect and dignity in my time of need, and although I asked for nothing I believe that they would have given me the shirts off of their backs. I was not the only transgender individual attending, and even though I've only visited twice I would recommend this church for the warmth and friendly behavior of their members. Worship was appropriate and the sermon was easy to follow. Full spread lunch was served after one of the sermons I attended. No one bothered me for using the ladies room, either. Went here to God's pantry I was told by God pantry I wouldn't be discriminated against but was highly discriminated against because I did have sigils tattooed on my hands which was part of the reason why I told God's pantry I didn't want to go to a church will not be back because at the end of the day Christians are supposed to be welcoming with open arms and I definitely was not It hit or miss on finds little treasures. Mostly modern clothing and jewelry. A good place to find unique earrings and pins and necklaces. This place is not helpful at all. They are more worried about being nosey then helping people ! ! ! The dont even listen just talk over you and be dismissive! ! ! The women i spoke with on the phone for was rude and very non helpful with providing information. I called to get help with rent and utility assistance due to 211 giving me their information for help. Well according to the older woman working in Human Resources I believe her name was debraoh, they don’t offer utilities services, and will not help with rent if they dont want to. After she rudely made loud noises on the phone and said the chruch couldnt help , she proceeded to ask me unnecessary questions like “ how i was going to pay my rent going forward “and “ if i had a job why i cant pay my bills” word from word what she said. Obviously im calling to get help and will figure out the rest later i can only worry about today not next month. What is the point of asking thoughs questions if you cant help me other the just being nosey. According to other review doesnt seem like they help the community AT ALL!
