If you are planning to go to the AA meeting from 8pm to 9pm called "A Fresh Start" I highly recommend you dont.. Last week was probably my 3rd or 4th time going and all those times I didn't feel very welcomed but it's convenient since I am in rehab down the street but this last time was awful and I was disgusted in the behaviors. Quick story about what happened: I have a job duty at the rehab and sometimes we can't leave right away unfortunately so it causes us to be little late sometimes because we walk as well to get there. Im trying my hardest to get thru this. I lost my brother to suicide, I dont have much support, and this has been really hard on me but im fighting for my life and trusting God. I was only 15 mins late and I listened to the speaker the whole time I enjoyed it but at the end when I asked the taller blonde haired woman to sign my meeting sheet because it's mandatory for me to get a certain meeting count weekly and for how much I work and do classes in here its really hard to get them every week, im always down to Sunday crunching meetings in before Monday morning so my time is VERY important and everywhere I go it has to count. Well she gave me this ugly look and said "nope im not signing it because you were 15mins late, if it was only 10 I would of" as shes saying this she has her nose in the air being extremely rude looking at me like im disgusting and then with all her friends around cuts me straight off and walks off talking to them.. 5 minute difference really? Probably not even that. She not once asked what caused me to be late or anything because how does she know I didn't fight like hell to get there?? Because I did and I actually ran and I was covered in sweat. Their was no compassion and it took everything in me not to be rude back but God doesn't like ugly so I wont stoop to that level. They lost another soul coming there now. It made me want to relapse walking back but I didnt and I stayed strong. She just made me feel like how the rest of the world looks at addicts like we are disgusting human beings. Ill pray for her but dont go to this meeting. God bless. Join us Saturday Morning @8:00am for Praise and Worship Services Dare to Care following Services Most amazing church so welcoming My Family Church go as often as I can. Worship is what we do. Service was too long, but the singing was wonderful.
