Best church on this side of heaven! This church has something for everyone, regardless of race,and age. There are ministries to meet the needs of people in this day and age. This family of churches are lead by two brothers, who stand on the shoulders of their late father ,yet blessed to have their mother propel us into the future with her beautiful wisdom, style, and grace. Services are at maximum capacity every Sunday. Do get there early to have one of the best genuine worship experiences in the city of New Orleans. New Home Ministry is a great church if you're not able to attend services in person Please follow them on all social media platforms. They are definitely a church that feels like family, because they are family. New Home Ministries has been a steady source of wisdom, truth, and spiritual growth in my life for over a decade. I’ve been a faithful virtual member for the past few years and have followed R.C. Blakes, Jr. since the very beginning of his ministry. His teaching has consistently been powerful, intentional, and deeply rooted in Scripture. His books are phenomenal and life-changing. I especially love The Father Daughter Talk, and I’m currently reading Queenology—a work so impactful that I’m now leading a group study on it at my local church. His teaching has moved countless women, raised the standard, and led many hearts back to Christ. What makes this ministry even more special is the heart behind it. In 2023, both Pastor Blakes and his wife took time to personally engage, answer questions, and pour into others through Zoom calls—something I will always be grateful for. They are a phenomenal couple who truly shepherd God’s daughters and sons, reminding us that we are children of the King—seen, valued, and called higher. I am deeply thankful for this ministry and for Pastor Blakes, whom I genuinely honor as a spiritual father. Our family experienced tragedy and requested the pastor Samuel Blakes for the funeral. I was asked do I pay tithes and when was the last time. I didn't think nothing of the question and told her the month prior. Days past by and no answer so I called back and was asked under what name I paid, when, where and how. Being devastated from my tragedy my answers weren't accurate but I did say how I pay tithes. After days of calling and being talked down to by Angel and her assistant. I finally had the receipts but by then my calls stopped being answered. I was hurt by this because I actually been going to the church and even was a part of their Turkey giveaway with Cash Money and tithing. For so long I didn't want to call it like it was because I felt somehow I shouldn't talk about my church. But how I was treated was real and it came from my church. I will never go there again and because of this I have stopped attending church and I still love God and believe in him. I watch it on TV and give tithes to a needy situation. Great Baptist Church for praise and worship! If you're visiting New Orleans you should definitely attend one of the services that are held throughout the week!
