Medium sized church in a convenient location. I don't attend here but visited a few times and had a good impression. Worship is great and filled with the presence of God! Sermons are deep, meaningful and theologically sound. People here are really nice, pretty welcoming and also they have a strong heart for the gospel and missions. First day here: 1. Small, close-knit circle 2. Immediately felt welcomed 3. Sermon was scripture based and had good theology behind it 4. We went out to eat afterwards, and it was a fun time! 5. Their home groups are also welcoming and a great opportunity to get to know like-minded believers I was at the Michigan debate camp in 2013 when I decided one Sunday to go to church while all the other debaters went to the other churches in the area. I still remember that sermon about persecution and what Christians around the world had to suffer for the Sake of Jesus Christ. I felt welcomed here although I wasn't even from Ann Arbor or Michigan. Harvest Mission Community Church changed my understanding of what it means to live as a Christian with its emphasis on community, be it at twos or threes, life group, ministries, or across the whole congregation. Doctrine adheres closely to the bible and emphasis is also placed on prayer, growing, and sharing with others. I really appreciated being a part of this church. I never went to church before this, but through Harvest, I discovered Jesus and His community and I have been transformed. This is a church that not only focuses but literally DEPENDS on prayer. If you commit everything that you have to Jesus, He will be faithful and change your life.
