What visitors say
Today being Good Samaritan Day made me reflect on this church. I visited a few times before moving across the country, and the impact they had on my life is something I will never forget. During a very difficult season, they blessed me in a huge way by helping me receive a car. That blessing meant everything and helped me take care of my family when I truly needed it. They didn’t just talk about faith—they lived it. They also offer an amazing laundry service that helps people in the community with real everyday needs. This church truly showed me what God calls His people to be—loving, generous, and willing to help others without judgment. They are truly everything a church is supposed to be, and I’m grateful I experienced that kind of kindness before I moved away. “Do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” — Hebrews 13:16 🙏 #Sharingwithscripture Redemption City Church is a vibrant community that I've had the pleasure of being a part of for over 10 years. From the moment you step through the doors, you will feel welcomed and accepted no matter where you are at in your walk with God.Whether you're a long-time member or a first-time visitor, there's a sense of belonging that you can feel throughout the entire congregation. The worship services are powerful and engaging. The speakers convey a message of hope, love, and redemption, inviting and challenging the congregation to find their place in the story of the gospel. Redemption City Church also places a strong emphasis on community outreach and service. It's evident that the church is not just a place for Sunday worship but a hub for making a positive impact in the local and global community. The various outreach programs and volunteer opportunities provide members with meaningful ways to contribute to the well-being of others. The leadership team at Redemption City Church is approachable and genuinely cares about the spiritual growth and well-being of the congregation. There is transparency and humility that the leadership team embodies, creating an environment where individuals feel comfortable seeking guidance and support. This church offers a welcoming and enriching experience, and will walk with you to a stronger relationship with Jesus. I’ve been a member here for over a decade and love what God is doing in our church. It was easy to get connected I initially and we have become like family to other members. The teaching is biblical and focused on the good news of Jesus being applied to our daily lives. Redemption City lives what they preach, bring the compassion and restoration to the city through Laundry Love and other city partnerships (read more on the website). We also have supported other church plants locally and globally, and support several church and parachurch missionaries globally! Pretty outsized impact for a church that is small enough to still feel like family! Redemption City is what church is supposed to be. The Gospel is preached here every week. We love community Members of the church are most of our community. We have Bible studies, membership classes, play date groups, weekly dinner groups. At many churches, the “passing of the peace” or “greeting time” feels forced or obligatory. Mike and Sebastian often have to cut us off. :D We love actively We support each other with childcare, loaned items, and cooking for those who are sick or postpartum or grieving. I was attracted to this church because of how the church parents. Children here are respected and not belittled. We Rest I have been here for almost three years because it is healthy. We have boundaries - people take breaks in leadership roles, we rest from most planned activities during the summer. We don’t work to burnout, we help each other. We are transparent The church is also displays our finances and makes them accessible to congregants - as it should be. God is worshipped here. We repent, grow, and rest. There are many ways to help, to ask for help here - to promote the Kingdom of God and to experience it. This is only the second church in GR that we visited when we moved 2 years ago, and we were so immediately welcomed into the family-like, community-minded congregation that we joined (with no regrets)! RCC includes our children in authentic worship followed by age-appropriate teaching while we as parents receive Biblical teaching and fellowship with like-minded believers. This is a church that prays together, supports each other in practical ways, and truly desires cultivating deeper relationships with God.
