We’ve spent the past several months visiting area churches, basically going anywhere we were invited. We were introduced to The Local Church from a postcard mailed to our house and decided to visit the following Sunday. We were pleasantly surprised. People are friendly and welcoming from the moment you approach the door. The music is fantastic and inspiring. Toran’s messages are authentic and challenging. We’ve been back a few times now and have enjoyed worshipping at The Local Church — Definitely worth a visit! God has brought me to a church that loves God and loves people. I have grown since being here and I’m excited to call The Local Church my home. No matter what stage of life you are in or what background you come from, TLC welcomes anyone to come and grow in their faith. Authentic worship, biblical teaching, and passionate people make this a church where God is working in amazing ways. Come be a part of God’s Kingdom! We've been seeking a church for a year and half, and this one just might be it! Awesome worship experience, and engaging service. The church has a desire for outreach and a heart for the whole community of Grand Rapids. I really think we are going to see God do some great things through this "local" church. If you are in The GR area and looking for a new place to experience Christ in a real and raw way, check it out! The Local Church has been an absolute blessing to my husband and I. Such a warm, welcoming community with a pastor that teaches in a way that is both educational and applicable in today's world. If you're looking to join an active faith community where you're both surrounded by support and challenged to go deeper, TLC is the place for you! Visited today for 1st and only time. Woman are not allowed to be pastors or preach in front of church. It says so clearly in the Bible, God’s word. The woman who was talking was all over the place with what she was saying and nothing she said made sense. Woman can be used by God, but not as preachers.
