Welcoming atmosphere. Pastor invited people to open and read their bibles during the sermon. Has both contemporary and traditional worship. Amazing community of welcoming people that genuinely care and enjoy getting to know you on a individual level. Contemporary and traditional style services held at multiple different times on Sundays. Lots of ways to get involved in the local community of White Bear Lake and beyond. Many opportunities to connect with people in the church and make friends. Through Growth Groups, Volunteering, Next Steps, Bible Study groups, and,Youth groups. Or even stopping by to attend a community event like the Annual Garage Sale, Easter Egg Hunt, Food Shelf, Diaper Drive, Project Home and, Hope for Haiti, just to name a few. Its a Great place to start/continue your relationship with your higher power. This is just heartbreaking and devastating to my mom and I. I grew up going to first Lutheran. Still to this day, it was the best church I've ever come across. We were heavily involved. We would be there almost every day of the week. My brother and I did wings, summer stretch, we were in the choir and we're in the plays put on by the church. Living in Wisconsin now and wanting my kids to have the same amazing church experience we did growing up, I decided we would make the hike and attend and join. Only to find women pastors? The bible is super clear on this. I just can't join a church that is going to bend the word of God and the bible to be acceptable to the world today. Are you guys an affirming church now as well? What happened here? This is not the first Lutheran I attended from infancy to 18. The Bible is the authority, not the world. Once you start bending on things like that to be acceptable in today's climate, who knows what else your bending God's word on. I would be leery of being lead astray here nowadays. Truly devastating. One more thing modern times have destroyed 😥 Wonderful preaching that is bible based but also applicable to every day life. No drama. No hidden agendas. Friendly, warm atmosphere. Yummy cookies on Sundays too!! My great grandfather helped make this church so 5 stars he did a good job lived to be 97 great man
