Our family started attending Parkview in 1985 when our first child was a year old. This was a great place to raise a family, and now that we are retired, we continue to love this church. I’m so proud of our welcoming and inclusive congregation … we don’t just SAY we are inclusive, we PRACTICE it. We are a progressive Christian church. My journey with Christianity has gone through phases, but my love for this church and its people has never faltered. If you are looking for a place where all are welcome and where we “practice what we preach,” this is the place for you. Also, if you’re looking for a great church choir, we’d love to have you … no auditions required. For a relatively small church, our music program is awesome! I like Parkview UCC for the Sunday worship service that is thought-provoking and meaningful to my life, the wonderful music program, and the many opportunities to do good works in the surrounding community and beyond. My first visit to Parkview was in 1980 when I was invited by a friend. I felt welcomed by everyone immediately and made friends quickly. My husband and I were married at Parkview and we’ve held a combined 28 volunteer positions over the years. I have always felt that Parkview is my extended family and I have been very grateful to be part of this welcoming and positive congregation. I have enjoyed all the new programs, new members, and ways that we can show others how much we have to offer and how we worship God together! We are so thankful to have found a church that we can openly be who we are and truly feel wanted, welcomed, and loved by everyone there. Unfortunately there are so many in the LGBT community that have not been able to find acceptance. My family joined Parkview Church in 2018 after looking at several other churches in the area. We decided to stay at Parkview after our first visit because of the warm welcome we received. We love the relatable sermons, the outreach opportunities available and the kids programming. This church feels like an extended family to us. They consistently show acceptance and support for one another and the community.
