What visitors say
If you are an incoming freshman, I would choose another church. This one clearly misses the point of raising up college students to be followers of Jesus in the real world. One of the lead pastors in a sermon to college students said “who cares about your test tomorrow? that’s not important in the kingdom.” They also say that men and women can’t really be friends; as if christians can’t be above lust. There are so many examples! The staff only cares about students when they’re freshmen and coming to know God initially. My friends and I felt so excluded and not poured into after. Also, the entire leadership and probably 90% of the body is white and that’s because there have been no real efforts by leadership to care for people who don’t think or look exactly like them except for pretending to care about people from different countries to try to convert them. The leadership cares about what they care about, not what the church or college body needs and it’s so clear to see the effects of that. H2O Church is an amazing college church! H2O Church is focused on seeking truth and the Lord in every way. The mission trips and other trips that are offered are amazing and focused solely on God, whole 100% recommend! This church has really pushed me to follow Christ! The community is so loving and feels like family 🙌 H2O Church loves Jesus! I love being apart of a community that follows Jesus, preaches His Word and spreads the gospel to the local community on and around campus. H2O Church is the best! It’s full of the most welcoming people that so apparently love Jesus! After first moving to college this church instantly became home and these people became family!
