What visitors say
I attended this church for about four months, and over time I saw enough to form a clear impression. They offer a lot of fun events and do a great job creating an engaging atmosphere, but the core issue is a lack of consistent gospel-centered teaching. At times it feels like the focus is on being a “cool” church rather than keeping everything centered on Jesus. Sermons typically begin with opening Scripture, but then shift into extended segments of personal stories, football references, or promotion, rather than deeper teaching of the Word. One situation that stood out to me was when I brought a friend who expressed a sincere desire to be baptized. He clearly stated that he accepts Jesus as his Savior, believes in His death on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, and trusts in Him for eternal life. However, he was told he wasn’t ready and needed to produce more good works, which was concerning. The worship music is high quality, but the volume is excessive, I measured it at consistently over 100 decibels, which made it difficult to fully engage. I do want to highlight one very positive aspect: the men’s pastor, Brooks. He does an excellent job taking what can feel like a surface-level message and turning it into a meaningful, Scripture-based discussion. He clearly has a genuine heart for the Lord. Overall, my hope and prayer is that the church refocuses, repents where needed, and returns to a more Christ-centered, gospel-driven approach. Look into this church and you will find some pretty unsettling things. Google it. That Google search alone will make you NEVER want to attend this place. This "church" is all about entertainment worship, sure, but it's not Latria worship. Latria is only given in the holy apostolic Catholic church through the Eucharist and ONLY by a priest with apostolic succession through the apostles. There is no lineage or authority in these type of churches and therefore lack reverence. This church is all about feelings rather than worship. All your donation money goes to the church to make it bigger and greater, yet, not to the needy. If you want to hear all about the pastors feelings tide into the sermon and loud music this is your place. Or do you want to give God full honor through the Holy Mass? Come home to Jesus universal Catholic church that he founded. St Ignatius of Antioch (follower of apostle John said) "Where Jesus is, there is the Catholic church". Your move. Have been going to this church for a couple years now, and I think I'm tired of the crowd, congestion, traffic of people, becoming winded from the time I get out of the car, to taking the kids downstairs, to making it back upstairs and finding a place to sit. Thursday nights are a total joke, absolutely nowhere to sit!!!!!!!!!!!! I most definitely do not see a need to make this building bigger, are you kidding?? I came out of my house today in 95° weather to go to church...... By the time I got out of my car and into the church, put my kids downstairs, got back upstairs, found out where the gym was, because I've never been to the gym, which is where the service is temporarily, and sat down I was dripping sweat. This church is way too big and impersonal. All I am going to say is step back and think when approaching and attending this church. Are there crosses and pictures of Jesus everywhere? Or will you find images of the lead pastor promoting himself and his podcast? Do they really want to be there for you and your spiritual needs? Or do they want to dictate where you sit in the pews, tell you what service you have to attend and how much you have to give demanding a tithe commitment? Just approach with caution. This used to be a really good church but unfortunately with new lead pastors come new things and they're not always the best. The love of Christ is shown & taught in so many ways through all kinds of ministries. I recommend checking it out!
