Very welcoming church. Great preaching and much to learn from Sunday school programs. Also appreciate weekly communion. Very family-oriented church. I visited there recently. It's weird to give a church a star rating, I just did 3 stars because that was my experience, but I don't have kids. This church is very kid-friendly in the sanctuary so there were a lot of kids bored out of their minds, fidgeting, crying, talking, wandering in and out of the sanctuary and it was distracting for me. I'm not saying it was a bad thing and it says right in the bulletin that they welcome noisy children in worship. The church reminded me of what I imagine old school churches were like. It was packed to the rafters with families. Everybody looked happy and healthy. Everything was professionally done. The pianist was amazing. The music was good and there was a lot of it. Some people actually sang parts in the hymns which I don't think I've ever heard in my life from the congregation but which was a very welcome surprise. I studied music and people don't understand how important music is as a form of actual worship. The minister is clearly a pro. The congregation again was a positive, healthy bunch which may sound obvious but you'd be surprised. Fortunately I didn't see a lot of this Covid idolatry you get in some churches. The pianist was wearing a mask which I'll just leave that there. The vibe was kind of like "Hey I just work here." All in all it was a good experience. I think finding a church home is harder than finding a life partner in some ways. They serve communion twice a month which is nice. Again, people don't take communion seriously enough in general. I didn't. Had to learn the hard way. I had visited across the street and somebody said, "If this place isn't conservative enough for you you could try across the street" so I did. I don't mean politically conservative but this is a Bible believing church as all churches should be. I forgot to mention and I was delighted to see they do NOT have a TV screen in the sanctuary, they do NOT have any kind of band playing as so many churches do, they just have the pianist, who again was amazing. Come for Jesus, stay to hang with Presbyterians This is a wonderful Church. Faithful to the scriptures and very rich fellowship! Great solid reformed church.
