This past Sunday while visiting Seattle (traveling from Georgia) with my two teenage children, we attended the 6:30 service at OneChurch. While it’s easy to be a prisoner of the moment, especially when emotions are involved, I don’t think it’s hyperbole for me to say that I can’t recall attending a better Sunday worship service. Multiple members of the welcome team came to us both before and after the service and had authentic, meaningful conversations with us. They genuinely seemed interested in why we were in Seattle and in what we had to say. Throughout the visit, it was refreshing to see a diverse group of people worshiping God and interacting with each other as one family. Everyone seemed to know everyone else and enjoyed each other’s company. While it was mentioned that you’re looking for a new building, I think the size of the current location is perfect, as it lends to an intimate atmosphere in which everyone feels totally immersed into the experience. The worship music was excellent! While I’m guessing copyright laws preclude you from posting the musical portion of the service on youtube, if by some chance I’m wrong, it would be awesome if it were posted, or if I could receive it via email, so that I could watch and listen again (and show my wife, who wasn’t able to make the trip), because it was that good. Finally, the message delivered by Olivia Smith, “God’s Love is Offensive,” was phenomenal. I had just had a conversation with my daughter earlier in the day about the value in forgiving others, even when it seems that they don’t deserve it or don’t realize they had done anything wrong. For Olivia to hit on these same points was perfect timing, and I’m sure it resonated with my daughter better than hearing it from me! Thank you so much for an incredible worship experience. I don’t know when we’ll be able to make it back to Seattle again, but in the meantime, please keep doing what you are doing. Our family will be praying for you! OneChurch in Seattle is more than just a place of worship — it’s the real genuine definition of community. Pastors Fil and Caitlyn lead with deep care, intentionality, and a heart for connection — both with God and with one another. From the very first time I attended, I felt welcomed, seen, and invited into something meaningful. What I love most is the intentional focus on community. Whether it's sharing meals at Dinner Parties, gathering for fun and connection at Summer Socials at greenlake, or encountering God deeply during Worship Nights, every event is designed to bring people closer to each other and to Jesus. This isn’t just a place to attend on Sundays; it’s a church that genuinely values doing life together. If you're looking for a faith community that’s warm, authentic, and rooted in purpose, I can’t recommend OneChurch enough!🌟 I’m begging for you guys to turn down your music and the bass. I can hear it through my windows and it goes for almost all day. Sunday’s are my only day off and I can’t even enjoy them cause the constant loud music. I understand it’s a church but there shouldn’t be any reason for a large loud speaker outside when there are apartments right next door and across the street. this is my home, my safe space. a place of people who LOVE the Lord, bearing the fruits of the spirit. Every message has brought guidance, wisdom, compassion, and correction towards my life. My family in Christ Onechurch is my home! I have prayed for this type of community, and God brought it at the perfect time. It’s crazy to believe this is in Seattle, a city I’ve always known to be opposed to faith. But here we learn together, grow together and experience the presence of God together, with Joy at the center. I’ve been a member since day one, and I’m honored to be a witness to the things the Lord has done in His house.
