Since moving to the Bay, the Vive Oakland community has truly become family to me, and I’m extremely grateful that the Lord led me there. Vive holds firmly to convictions rooted in the Word of God and is a bold, Spirit-led church that seeks to advance the Kingdom of God both locally and globally. Becoming a member has stretched and strengthened me in every way—deepening my faith, sharpening my gifts, and expanding my capacity to serve. It’s a place where I’ve been encouraged to go after God’s will for my life with boldness, and where I’ve built so many meaningful relationships! If you’re looking for a place where you’ll be challenged, equipped, and loved while pursuing the heart of God, I can wholeheartedly say Vive is home First time at a non-denom service. very kind people, started off with a 30-45min worship jam session, a reading from Jonah, and then (i presume she was a pastor) a bit of preaching by the pastor, she did well- very insightful. No communion which surprised me. I think there’s absolutely space for both a service like this (worship/bible study) and traditional mass/communion. I don’t believe Christ wants us to forgo the eucharist or communion. Take in the body and blood of Christ, it’s a beautiful gift he’s given us 🙏🏽 thank you all for having me! Ive had the privilege of calling VIVE Church in Oakland home for the last 7+ years. Through those 7 years, I’ve not only been ministered and poured into by this church but have also been challenged to grow in my faith resulting in fruit I couldn’t have imagined before joining. As I’ve stepped into being a husband and a father, it’s been incredible to see the level of investment that VIVE has placed into us as a family with Moms & dads groups and their amazing ROYAL KIDS ministry. We love getting to call this church home and we love getting to build the church and bring Gods kingdom to Oakland! For as long as I can remember, I’ve prayed for a community that felt like home—a family of people who love the Lord, genuine friends to do life with, and a place where I truly belonged. After graduating college, I was at the lowest point in my life—stuck in a toxic environment, disconnected from friends, and without direction. I felt utterly alone. For months, I prayed for a church community. One Sunday, I decided to take a leap of faith and start searching for a church home. I had planned to visit a different church, but by the grace of God, I ended up at VIVE instead. That Sunday, I went—and I never left. VIVE became my home! God has given me more than I ever imagined through this church. I’ve found family, lifelong friends, mentors, and career advisors. I’ve grown in my faith, matured as a person, and experienced healing that has changed me completely. Now, I serve on the Digital Team, and being part of VIVE has even jumpstarted my career as a social media manager and content creator. It’s unlocked my creativity and revealed parts of my God-given identity I didn’t know were there. I can’t imagine my life without this church. I’ve met people who have walked with me through my darkest seasons and celebrated with me in my highest. This community truly embodies what it means to be the kingdom of God—bold, full of faith, and overflowing with God’s love. 🥰💖🙌🏾🤩🌈🕊️✝️✨ We were looking for a church that was grounded in biblical principals, personable, warm, had opportunities to help us grow and we found that in Vive Oakland. The campus pastors Pastor Bobby and Abi are the most personable, loving, and intentional pastors I have met since going to church all my life. They truly care about their members and are kind, biblically sound, and relatable good people. Come check it out, it is a great place to encounter real people seeking after God and His presence is alive in this church.
