I love my church family & Pastoral team At Believe they bring the word of God weekly, 3 services times to be exact. One thing that our Pastoral team continues to do is lead by example. I was mentally going through a lot of trials and tribulations this past year, fighting up against spiritual warfare, and both of my Pastors came to my job and they helped me through one day. It doesn’t get better than that having Pastors who will help intercede and attack the enemy with prayer for you. Life sometimes is hard but one thing I know is that you can triumph with 4 amazing things THE WORD OF GOD, PRAYER, PRAISE & WORSHIP and A Great Church. The Church is the people. At BELIEVE L.A. they teach you how to walk in your everyday VICTORY with 3 GOD given tools. So glad I found this church because I searched for this place it’s nothing like this place, so this must be the place! It took me a while to write this review. I’ve attended this church on and off due to work but I've been there since its earlier days near the high school. It felt authentic and focused on Scripture and community. It was also nice seeing familiar faces from the music industry. Over time it felt like the focus shifted toward growth rather than investing in the people already there. I joined a women’s group and was surprised the leader was a "new Christian" with limited biblical knowledge, the group began talking about zodiac signs and things got uncomfortable so I stopped attending. I later found out there was no system in place for how they picked these "leaders" you literally just volunteer and get can lead a small group...what? There have also been instances where the pastor took jabs at “old school churches," which is not only where he comes from but a majority of us who now find ourselves in LA looking to fill the void of our home church. I find this off putting especially from the alter, or should I say stage as thats what its referred to and treated as. Once speaking in tongues and praise dancing was also being mocked from the pulpit, is anything sacred or off limits? Although there are lead and associate pastors, both myself and two of my friends have tried to seek counsel/prayer and were not able to set a meeting with either. Instead as someone else commented here, I received a call from someone I had never met, which felt cold and awkward. Both of these people have since left the church and now it's my time to also move on. Prioritizing growth and leadership without strong biblical teaching (like a consistent Bible study) is dangerous. Believe LA has been such a blessing. The pastor is incredible, and the worship service is always powerful. The church community is warm and welcoming, and we leave every Sunday feeling truly filled by the Word. That said, for a church with such a strong young adult presence, it’s surprising how few opportunities there are to connect outside of Sunday service. There’s a real hunger among young adults to build community and grow in faith throughout the week, but currently, the church offers very limited options. The young adult Bible study is only once a month (if that) and isn’t well-publicized. There’s no consistent mid-week prayer, no weekly men’s or women’s groups, no singles or marriage ministry, and no social gatherings or outreach efforts targeted toward deeper fellowship. If you’re looking for a church that offers more in terms of weekly connection, discipleship, and community-building, you may find yourself needing to look elsewhere or supplement with another church. Still, Believe LA is a beautiful place to worship on Sundays. I just hope to see more intentional investment in community life beyond that in the future. I initially started going to the church because I was invited by someone I knew. I went and enjoyed the church and decided to join. I took the membership classes and finished. However part of getting involved in a helps ministry you have to be interviewed by a member which is over the department. I decided to join the homeless or community service group and was interviewed by the leader. He was at first very nice but started asking me questions about church hurt and if I ever experienced it before. When I shared the story he told me I was gossiping which I wasn't, just answering a question he asked me. The call was very long and he eventually told me he would email me with more info on how to move forward. I never got a call, email, text, nothing after completing everything and sharing all these stories with a stranger on the phone. That was my experience so I stopped going. Also the church has a very Hollywood vibe so if you are into that you may enjoy it! ❤️❤️❤️ Let me tell you! This church is true community. From being genuinely greeted walking in, to the wonderful care at the children’s church. And can’t forget about the spiritually touching worship team singing and straight Bible teaching from pastor Aaron Lindsay. I’ve been attending since October and from the first service I knew I would call Believe La my church HOME! I LOVE IT HERE!! Anyone looking for real bible teaching and community, come check us out! Till LA LOOKS LIKE HEAVEN 🙌🏾
