Recently decided to start the search for a home church. I’ll start with positives and say I appreciate how timely they are here, as well as the way their children’s program is set up. However, I went to this church for 4 weeks and no one ever took the time to speak with me or get to know me. No one ever even asked my name, not even leadership. I did not feel welcomed and eventually made the decision to go elsewhere. I wouldn't really even give it one star. A church like many hurting in ways that no one can see or will admit to. My family and I really thought we had found family and home. We had some issues and requested some answers and were pretty much told maybe this wasn't a place for us. We were extremely involved, extremely let down. I am also a student in seminary. There's a lot to be said but even like the lead pastor advised us not to talk to anyone but an elder. We haven't heard from anyone since. Careful of churches that they are acquaintances and not family. We love LFC! Initially looking to get plugged into a community? This is the place! We have had nothing shy of a great experience since we started attending in 2022. The staff are all awesome and inviting-- even started a meal train for us when we had our first child this June! The sermons are biblically sound, but not super harsh or shaming like a super traditional church. They truly make any and everyone feel welcomed, and the coffee is good too! :) I visited this church several years ago. Visited again today as a guest of family. Nothings changed. Don’t expect to leave with any conviction. Very watered-down message especially for Easter Sunday. Jesus is much more than just “wow”. Aside from a half doctrine message, the thing that stood out to me the most is that I didn’t see a single person carrying a Bible?. Not even the pastor when he came out to preach. In this world that we live People need sound doctrine More than ever. Super nice people, great coffee, great band if that’s your thing but if you’re looking for, but if you’re looking for a solid message that convicts you with the full weight of the gospel and not a watered down version of it you may want to continue looking. 2 Timothy 4:3-4 Searching a new church, attended this morning, music was good, pastor gave a good sermon, people are very nice. But music was way too loud, vibrated in my chest. My husband and I had to leave the sanctuary to watch the sermon on the tv in the other room. We love the sermon but hard to put up the excessively loud music.
